What You Will Do:
Senior Project Manager to support Enterprise Digital Capabilities project and the Integration Platform project, as well as working with the CIO and IT Managers providing project management support on adhoc IT projects.
Reporting to the Director – Enterprise Platforms, CIO and project boards, this role will be responsible for implementation of COTS and bespoke applications. The Project Manager will work with other IT resources including business analysts, solution architects, solution designers, testers, developers and other resources as required..
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including business partners, cross-agency collaborations and service providers.
- Research, plan, implement, monitor and evaluate project or program initiatives.
- Negotiate and engage with stakeholders to ensure effective communication, coordination and collaboration for timely and successful outcomes.
- Identify and resolve project-related issues and challenges.
- Provide management, coordination, governance and assurance of complex projects.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in an agile environment to deliver agreed outcomes.
- Represent the team and branch in project governance meetings and provide clear up to date reports on status and the implications of risks on projects to ensure the success of projects.
- Oversee project resources to ensure a high performing, motivated and well-developed team that delivers results.
- Use project management tools to drive successful outcomes, covering areas such as risk management, quality management, financial management, procurement, strategy, resource management, project briefs and post-implementation reviews.
Skills and Experience You’ll Need:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience leading complex ICT projects and programs in Federal Government.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including business partners, cross-agency collaborations and service providers.
- Experience with/ and application of project management frameworks and methodologies including waterfall and Hybrid Agile.
- Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with a range of stakeholders, including Departmental Executive.
